In many ways, Aashna Sharma wasn't your average kid.

Spending her early life traveling around the globe, Aashna grew up as a citizen of the world and experienced a diversity of cultures and people. Throughout her travels she gained a profound appreciation for nature, observing animals thrive in their natural habitats and learning what makes each of them unique. The older Aashna got, and the more aware she became of how many of those animals ended up on the “at risk” list, the more determined she was to find a way to help.

However, as different as Aashna might have been from some others her age, in many ways she was the same. Her passions and pursuits were just like anyone else's, and one of her biggest was makeup. Since the day she was first allowed to wear it, Aashna became obsessed, experimenting with different looks and colors, watching beauty product tutorials on Youtube, and even helping her friends do theirs for school and social events.

Then, not long after her 15th birthday, Aashna realized she could combine her biggest passions into a single project that could truly make a global difference. This was the day Shared Planet was born. And now, just two years later, Aashna’s dream has finally become realized.
